Snapchat always changes their algorithm and makes a new best friends list order so you might have noticed how people are appearing on the list. As you go down the list from top to bottom, you’ll notice that it’s in order of people you talk to the most to people you talk to frequently, but not as much as the people above. If there’s someone at the top of your best friends list, you’ll notice that you talk to this person the most and probably most of your time on Snapchat talking to them. ![]() If they appear at the top of the best friends list, then they snap this person the most. If you have a girlfriend or boyfriend and you’re wondering why certain people are on their best friends list, whether they’re at the top or at the bottom, it signifies that they talk to them frequently enough for Snapchat to put them on the list. ![]() If you don’t use Snapchat much, the algorithm will still look at who you’ve been snapping the most and put them on your best friends list. The people that you send the most snaps to frequently are the people that will appear on the list, with the most frequent person appearing at the top of the list. Snapchat orders your best friends list based on who you speak to the most. The fewer best friends you have, the less you talk to people on Snapchat. If you’ve spoken to too few people in this time frame then you’re not going to 8 best friends, you could have fewer. ![]()
